Zehara Nachash has been teaching and performing with her slithering dance partners for over 20 years. For more than a decade, she was known as Boston’s Resident Snake Charmer, captivating audiences across the United States with performances that were both deeply spiritual and visually mesmerizing. Blending her profound love of Middle Eastern, African, and ecstatic dance, Zehara creates performances that are ritualistic, evocative, and transformative. While based in Boston, she served as the artistic director and producer of several theatrical dance productions, including ANIMUS: A Shamanic Journey Through Dance, Dancing the Wheel, and Kalliope’s Karavan. She was also the troupe director for Alankara and The Daughters of Eden, guiding dancers through immersive, mythic, and spiritually rooted works.
